Ingredients
Sencha green tea leaf: Sencha (Camellia sinensis) is a type of Japanese green tea made from leaves that are steamed and rolled. Green tea contains the chemical theanine, which promotes calmness, and also contains the amino acid L-theanine, which has been shown to possibly support brain function, improve stress-related symptoms, reduce sleep quality problems, and potentially promote mental well-being. A systematic review from 2017 discovered that green tea may benefit cognition (memory and attention), mood, and brain function due to the caffeine and L-theanine content. Caffeine and L-theanine can work synergistically to improve brain function. One cup of sencha green tea contains 40-60 milligrams of caffeine.
Tulsi leaf: Tulsi (Ocimum tenuiflorum) (also referred to as Holy Basil), has many benefits including evidence of boosting mood and relieving stress. Tulsi is an adaptogen, which is an herb that helps the body adapt to stress and promote balance. Studies have demonstrated that tulsi may increase energy, help manage physical and emotional stress, improve fatigue, and help fight infections due to its constituent, eugenol, which has anti-inflammatory properties. One particular study found that tulsi decreased stress in participants by 37% and improved sleep quality by 48% after 8 weeks of administration.
Peppermint leaf: Among the many benefits of peppermint (Mentha piperita), it has been demonstrated that it may improve energy levels, reduce fatigue, improve concentration and focus, and improve sleep quality. Peppermint is also well-known to assist with sinuses, headaches, and fresh breath. It is a nice addition to enhance flavor and possibly contribute to mood boost and memory enhancement.
Dried lemon peel: Lemon peel (Citrus limon) contains many antioxidants, including D-limonene and vitamin C, which may help improve mood, learning, and memory, and help fight against infections and diseases. Lemon peel actually contains a higher concentration of nutrients and bioactive compounds compared to lemon juice.
